Holidays – Eid Al Adha: 4 October 2014
Eid Al Adha follows on from the Day of Sacrifice. Dubai's public sector returns to work on 7th October 2014, the private sector will return a day earlier.
This Muslim religious time is also known as the Feast of the Sacrifice or the Festival of the Sacrifice. It begins the day following the Day of Arafat when the pilgrims descend from the Plain of Arafat and marks the end of the Pilgrimage.
This is a 3 day holiday in Dubai’s public sector with their holiday being 4th, 5th and 6th October, returning to work on 7th October. For the private sector the holiday will be on 4th and 5th October returning on 6th October 2014.
