Emirates Post targeted by Scammers
Emirates Post is a fantastic mail service sending and receiving mail from all over the world. Unfortunately, scammers are targeting the service.
Emirates Post provides a great service. Apart from post office boxes, they take your mail and send it wherever you want (obviously you have to pay for the service!) Parcels, letters and cards are just a few of their services.
Sadly however, Emirates Post is the target of a recent SCAM. An email arrives in your inbox, looking quite official, and you can click into a payment gateway – DO NOT!!!!
The email asks for a payment because a parcel cannot be delivered as customs has not been paid. The email we received mentioned AED 30.45.
If you have any doubts whatsoever contact Emirates Post:
Call 600 599999 (600 numbers are chargeable. Remember to check the difference between mobile and landline charges.)
The two UAE phone services are:
Du tariff guide Etisalat tariff guide
Other ways of contacting Emirates Post are:
Emirates Post website live chat
Email to custservice@epg.gov.ae
Stay safe 🙂
